I picked this up a while ago to stock up on convenience meals from my local 99 cent store. For 2 bucks, the sheer ratio of macros in this meal is fantastic for low fat, high protein eaters.

Marvel at the astounding nutrition!
- 19 grams of protein in 230 calories is pretty darn good.
- The carbs seem high, but is only 12% of daily intake.
- The fat content is almost nothing at 3 grams.
- The sodium is worrisome at a whopping 54%, so caution to all you hypertensives out there.

When I eat healthy, my biggest challenge to balancing my macros and maximizing protein while minimizing carbs and fat. Since I despise protein shakes unless I have to (see my C3PO recipe! It’s the only bearable form of protein shake I love), this is a great alternative. Plus I love getting my protein from fish sources as they’re high in omega fatty acids and great for long term health.

So here’s the bad news: it don’t taste too great. The cauliflower, although a great substitute for rice, releases fluid when heated and the final meal was soupy, which is generally not appetizing. The meal does smell fishy, so it might offend coworkers and anyone averse to fish.

Overall, it’s not terrible but I’m probably not going to buy this again. It does have great nutrition and might be worth it for those of you pescatarians looking for a convenient lean protein meal! Try it and let me know if you liked it!
